Job Title: Weekends & Holidays – Cook / Production Assistant

Location: Churchfields Farm, Salwarpe, Droitwich, WR90AF
Hours: Primarily weekends, with additional hours during staff holidays and school holidays
Contract Type: Part-time / Flexible Hours

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Cook/ Production Assistant to join our friendly team. This varied and rewarding role involves supporting both our kitchen and our award-winning dairy production.

You’ll help prepare and cook delicious food for afternoon teas, buffets, and events, as well as take part in producing our award-winning ice cream. (Full training for the dairy production side will be provided.)

This position is ideal for someone seeking flexible work that can fit around family life, school runs, and other commitments, while still being able to commit to both days of the weekend as a general rule.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes including hot meals, afternoon teas, and buffets.
• Assist in the production of our award-winning ice cream, following recipes and quality standards (training provided).
• Handle food orders and maintain stock levels.
• Ensure all food is prepared and stored safely and hygienically.
• Support daily kitchen operations and maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Work collaboratively as part of a small, supportive team.

Requirements

• Minimum Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene certification (essential).
• Proven experience working in a kitchen environment.
• Enthusiastic, reliable, and able to work well within a team.
• Full UK driving licence and access to transport due to rural location.
• Flexibility to work extra hours during busy periods and cover staff holidays.
• Availability to work both Saturday and Sunday most weekends.
