What to expect at our pumpkin patch
A proper autumn day out on a working family farm
Wander the rows of the Churchfields Pumpkin Patch and hunt for the one: tiny pumpkins for little hands, giants for the doorstep and everything in between. Every pumpkin was planted by hand and cared for through one of the hottest summers we’ve known.
Between picking, you can:
- Strike a pose at our autumn photo spots and seasonal backdrops
- Gather round the fire in our marshmallow toasting area
- Warm up with rich hot chocolate from the food marquee
- Tuck into a warm pudding at the crumble corner
Food, drinks, marshmallows and pumpkins are available to buy on the day.

Pair your pumpkin hunt with a day at the Fun Farm: (go karts, giant bouncers, animal paddocks, nature trail and farm themed play areas) on our working family farm. Add Fun Farm tickets to your booking for the same day.
Half term (23–31 October): save 25% with the Fang-Tastic Fun Farm
Over October half term, the farm turns spooky. The Fang-Tastic Fun Farm half-term Halloween event brings everything you love about the Fun Farm, plus Broomstick Academy, Trick or Treat Street, the spooky Maize Maze, and Halloween games and activities. Book it online with the Pumpkin Patch for the same day and save 25% automatically when you check out (online offer only).

Terms: Tickets for both attractions must be booked online for the same day. The offer can’t be applied to previously purchased tickets or on the door and has no cash value and can’t be combined with any other offer.

Pumpkin Patch FAQs
1. What time does the Pumpkin Patch open?
The Churchfields Pumpkin Patch is open from 10am to 5pm on all event dates.How long should we allow for a visit?
Most visitors spend around 1.5-2 hours at the Pumpkin Patch. Allow longer if you’re combining it with the Fun Farm or Fang-Tastic Fun Farm.
2. Does everyone need a ticket?
Yes. Adults, children and dogs all need a valid Pumpkin Patch ticket. Tickets are limited, so we recommend booking in advance.
3. Can I buy tickets on the day?
Tickets may be available on the day, subject to availability, but popular dates sell out, so booking online is the best way to guarantee entry.
4. What happens if the weather is bad?
It’s an Autumn outdoor attraction in a field with some cover. Bring clothing to suit the conditions.
5. Does my ticket include a pumpkin?
No. Pumpkin Patch tickets don’t include a pumpkin. Every pumpkin grows differently, so each one is priced individually by size, shape and variety, and you only pay for the one you choose. See our price table for details.
6. Can I buy pumpkins without an admission ticket?
No. Pumpkins are only sold within the Pumpkin Patch, so you’ll need a valid ticket.
7. Why do your pumpkins cost more than supermarket ones?
Every Churchfields pumpkin was planted by hand and cared for on our farm through one of the hottest summers we’ve experienced. When you visit, you’re paying for the whole experience: exploring the patch, enjoying our autumn displays and supporting a local family farm.
8. Is the Maize Maze included?
No. Pumpkin Patch tickets don’t include the Maize Maze. Since we’ve expanded the patch, the Maize Maze is now part of the Fang-Tastic Fun Farm, which is open during October half term (23–31 October 2026). Book both for the same day and save 25%.
9. What’s the difference between the Fun Farm and the Fang-Tastic Fun Farm?
The Fun Farm is open on weekends before October half term. The Fang-Tastic Fun Farm runs during half term only and includes everything at the Fun Farm, plus interactive Broomstick Academy with live actors, Trick or Treat Street, the Maize Maze, and more spooky games and activities.
10. Can we carve pumpkins on site?
No. Following visitor feedback, we no longer offer pumpkin carving at the Pumpkin Patch. Take your pumpkin home and enjoy carving it with family and friends.
11. Can we toast marshmallows?
Yes. Head to the marshmallow toasting area by the fire. Marshmallows are available to buy on the day.
12. Will food and drink be available?
Yes. Hot food, sweet treats and drinks are available to buy throughout your visit. To support our farm, only food and drink bought at Churchfields may be eaten on site.
13. Is the Pumpkin Patch dog-friendly?
Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome at the Pumpkin Patch. Dogs need their own ticket and must stay on a lead at all times. Please clean up after your dog and be considerate of other visitors and our farm animals.
14. Do children need to be supervised?
Yes. Parents and carers are responsible for children at all times during their visit.
15. Will it be muddy?
Quite possibly. The Pumpkin Patch is in a working field, so we recommend wellies or walking boots, especially after rain. A wheel and welly wash is available before you head home.
16. Is the Pumpkin Patch suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs?
The Pumpkin Patch is in a working field with uneven ground, so access can be difficult for pushchairs and wheelchairs, especially after rain. If you have questions, please contact us before your visit.
